This example shows two merged blocks. The data comes in rectangular blocks, typically bounded by a minimum and maximum longitude and latitude. If data is needed
along a diagonal, then the area is divided up into multiple rectangular blocks and merged. Notice how lightning strikes cluster, and how these clusters form lineaments.
