These four images show annual lightning strike density for 2005, 2007, 2009, and 2011. We use the words "somewhat consistent" because there are large
meteorological differences year to year in lightning strike density. However, there are fewer lightning strikes over the salt domes each year, there are trends
following the contours of the Wilcox each year, and there are other "somewhat consistent" similarities as you study these four maps from year to year.
