This slide uses the analytics program Spotfire to show the locations of wells in Central Iron County colored according to depth.
The requirement to create this display was to have a spread-sheet summarizing the data derived from water wells drilled in Central Iron County.
The public driller's reports were obtained from the County, and the location, depth, and various other characteristics were entered into a spread-sheet.
Then this data was copied from this spread-sheet for use in the analytics program. Some of the attributes in the spread-sheet show up
in the "Details on Demand" window to the right of the map. The sliders allow interactive zoom on various attributes, and the legend shows the tie between color and depth.
