I was raised on the back end of a shovel on the Star Ship Enterprise in Southern Utah. This slide shows the farm today,
which is now surrounded by subdivisions. Growing up it was surrounded by sage brush and jack rabbits.
We did not have the irrigation wheel, and all crop watering was done by shoveling head ditches.
Irrigation teaches one the value of water. We cannot live without water. Water access is an issue common across all places.
